A little bit about us…

Welcome to Allen Organ of Maine!

Hello, we are Ed and Nora Gormley, the proud owners of Allen Organ of Maine. Our professional journey with Allen Organs began in 1999 when Ed worked with the local dealer before acquiring the dealership in 2007 when we became the representatives for the Allen Organ Company in Maine. However, our connection with these magnificent instruments runs much deeper.

A Passion for Music:

Music has always been a central part of our lives. Ed's musical journey started with the trumpet, piano, organ, and bass guitar, while Nora found her harmony through the clarinet and choirs. Ed's fascination with organs was sparked during his childhood, attending mesmerizing organ concerts at Portland City Hall with his father. This early exposure ignited a lifelong passion for the instrument.

A Legacy of Expertise:

With a background in music and technical expertise, Ed pursued his love for organs further. As a music major at the University of Maine, he studied under the tutelage of Douglass Rafter, a distinguished local organist. Ed's extensive experience as a technician, spanning over 30 years working with small business equipment, provided him with invaluable skills that seamlessly translate into servicing Allen Organs today. Alongside his technical abilities, Ed serves as the Worship Pastor at our local church, where his love for music and community intertwine.

Family Values:

We are blessed with a daughter, a son-in-law, and four delightful grandsons who bring boundless joy to our lives. When we're not immersed in the world of organs, you'll find us cherishing precious moments with our family, creating memories to last a lifetime.

At Allen Organ of Maine, our mission is not only to provide exceptional service but also to share our passion for music with fellow enthusiasts. Whether you're a seasoned musician, a church leader, or an aspiring organist, we're here to guide you on your musical journey.

Thank you for choosing Allen Organ of Maine!
